WE ARE FOR EVERYONE

Braehead’s more than a place to shop – it’s where locals meet, pitch in and make good things happen, together.

LOCAL SUPPORT FOR OVER 25 YEARS

Over the past quarter century, we’ve been dedicated to supporting our community and community partners.

Each year, our customers, staff and retailers raise thousands of pounds for worthy causes. Our staff give up hundreds of hours to support local groups and lend their expertise to those who need it.

We also offer our community partners free space within the centre to promote the great work that they do. We are very proud of our ongoing partnership with Alzheimer Scotland and of being a dementia-friendly shopping centre.

That’s not all. We also work with lots of other charities throughout the year including Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, the Beatson Cancer Charity, Maggie’s, Young Enterprise Scotland and the Renfrewshire Toybank.

Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland

We’re committed to being part of the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland scheme.

Recently, several members of our team carried out training with the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership. This ongoing commitment helps to ensure that we continue to be a supportive environment for mothers who choose to breastfeed.

Alzheimer Scotland

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. They aim to make sure nobody faces dementia alone – providing support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families. They also campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.

Bottle Recycling Programme

The Perfume Shop’s Bottle Recycling Programme – Reducing waste and lowering carbon footprint is a major focus for The Perfume Shop, and their nationwide bottle recycling scheme plays a big part in that. So far, they’ve recycled 56,000 empty perfume bottles, helping customers dispose of their empties responsibly while supporting a more circular approach to beauty. Customers also receive 15% off when they recycle a bottle with us and a tree is also planted.

Every coffee changes lives

Social Blend is a charity coffee shop and social enterprise based at Braehead. They have a clear mission: to provide our members with the opportunity to learn and develop the skills needed to work in Retail and Hospitality settings.

Many people with a disability or additional support need face significant barriers to employment. While some may secure interviews, a lack of prior training often prevents them from gaining work. Social Blend exists to help bridge this gap by providing real-life training and experience in our coffee shop.

Quiet Hours

Braehead is proud to support The National Autistic Society’s Autism Hour again in 2026. Quiet Hour will take place on the first Tuesday of every month, from 10–11am.

Upcoming Dates:

3 February | 3 March | 7 April | 5 May | 2 June | 7 July | 4 August | 1 September | 6 October | 3 November | 1 December

During Quiet Hour, stores take steps to create a more autism-friendly environment by:

– Reducing music and in-store announcements

– Dimming lights where safe to do so

– Equipping staff with helpful information to better support autistic customers

We’re committed to making Braehead a more inclusive place to shop.
