Social Blend is a charity coffee shop and social enterprise with a clear mission: to provide our members with the opportunity to learn and develop the skills needed to work in Retail and Hospitality settings.
Many people with a disability or additional support need face significant barriers to employment. While some may secure interviews, a lack of prior training often prevents them from gaining work. Social Blend exists to help bridge this gap by providing real-life training and experience in our coffee shop.
Through our Training Programme, members learn key skills including food and drink preparation, EPOS till use, stock taking, and customer service. Training is delivered by our Coffee Shop Facilitators, who bring hands-on experience from the Retail and Hospitality sectors and provide a supportive, real-world learning environment.
You can support Social Blend simply by popping in for a coffee or a cake. Every purchase directly supports the training and development of our Social Blend team, helping to create meaningful pathways into employment.
